Guinness and Tipple go home!
On 12 April we set off for Longford in Ireland with our two otters, Guinness and Tipple.
We were going to do an otter survey anyway and it seemed a golden opportunity to take these two back to prepare for release. They are now about 9 months and will be ready for release in August/September. Normally they would have been moved to our croft pens but it was decided to finish their rehabilitation in their homeland.
It was a long journey but the otters stood it very well and soon settled into their new home. It is good that they have done this travelling now so when it comes to the actual release they will be virtually on site.
