THE INTERNATIONAL OTTER SURVIVAL FUND'S CURRENT PRESS RELEASES
A little “Peace” in the World
A little peace has entered the Skye-based otter sanctuary of the International Otter Survival Fund!

Each year the sanctuary receives many orphaned otter cubs, but this one was a little different. He had been found one horrible night sheltering under a caravan. He was only about 3 months old and was very cold and wet, but once he started to warm up he quickly came back to life.
IOSF was called and went to collect the little cub and take him back to the sanctuary. Gary, who found him, asked if he could name the cub “Sith”, a Gaelic word pronounced “sheee” which means “Peace”. What better name can there be than this in these times of troubles in the world.
Sith will stay at the sanctuary until he is about 12-15 months old and he will then return to the wild – hopefully he will bring peace there too!
