THE INTERNATIONAL OTTER SURVIVAL FUND'S CURRENT PRESS RELEASES
Be one of the six lucky people to join the International Otter Survival Fund on a Unique Wildlife Trip to Belarus
Since 2000 the International Otter Survival Fund has been supporting an otter project in the former Soviet Republic of Belarus and last April we were able to take a small group of people to see not just the otter work but to experience the amazing wildlife in the forest there. This first trip was followed by a second trip in December and both trips had great views of Bison, Elk, Beaver, and of course Otter.

In April the group also saw Great Grey Owl, Crane, White Stork, Roe Deer and Wild Boar and some days were spent lazily kayaking down the Wolf River. In winter the scene was true Christmas card – the wooden buildings of the field station amidst a thick carpet of white snow.
In 2006, IOSF will be running another trip from 19 – 26 April and again six lucky people will be able to experience the beauty of this natural forest of aspens and conifers and the magnificent creatures within it. They will live in the wooden field station in the heart of the forest where the only noises are literally the calls of the wild – Wolves howling, Cranes calling, and Wild Boar grunting.
Vadim Sidorovich from the Academy of Natural Sciences of Belarus will again be our guide and we are fortunate to be able to share his knowledge of HIS forest.
